Jr.NBA World Championship- Europe Training Camp Day 3: Game time!

The third and last day of the training camp of the European team for the Jr.NBA World Championship that is being developed in L'Alqueria del Basket has had two very different parts. In the morning, the boys' and girls’ teams have made their last practice in European lands before traveling tomorrow to the United States.

 

In the afternoon, courts 1 and 2 of L'Alqueria del Basket have been filled with competition with the dispute of some scrimmage games, in which the European teams for the Jr.NBA World Championship have faced a selection of players of U16 category of the Valencia Basket youth academy, older than the 13 and 14 year olds players who will represent our continent in the Orlando tournament. This scrimmage games have been the final touch to this Europe Training Camp.

 

After three days of work and practices at L'Alqueria del Basket, the European teams will fly tomorrow to Orlando. The competition will start for both teams on Tuesday, August 7. Boys, coached by Alessandro Nocera and Eero Leva, will face India at 1:45 pm local time (7:45 p.m. in Spain) and will repeat the match in the afternoon, measuring against South America at 6:30 pm local time. Girls, coached by Uros Dragicevic and Lina Brazdeikyte, will also debut at the Jr.NBA World Championship on Tuesday, August 7. Although it will only play a game on the first day of competition, vs. India at 3:00 pm local time (21:00h in Valencia).
