EuroCup Finals move to Malaga for the game 2

30/03/2017

Valencia Basket faces the 7DAYS EuroCup Finals game 2 as their first chance to get the title if they win after winning the game 1 by 68-62 (Friday 31, 21:00h, Martín Carpena, Teledeporte/ Eurosport2/ Euroleague TV). Although the most recent precedents are positive for the Taronja team (has won Unicaja in eight of its last nine games), the equality of the last two games played on Saturday and Tuesday in the Fonteta makes clear the good shape of the Malaga team. For this second match of the European final, coach Pedro Martinez maintains the absences of Antoine Diot and Slava Kravtsov.

Unicaja has been intractable on their own court in the 7DAYS EuroCup playoffs, beating Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals (82-67) and Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar in the semifinals (74-63). The team of Joan Plaza has been advancing rounds to get into the final based on an excellent defense that has not allowed more than 70 points to none of their rivals in the last five games of the tournament. As in the first match, center Dejan Musli, with a grade 2 sprain in his right ankle, is out, while Serbian bodyguard Nemanja Nedovic has declared today that he has overcome his physical problems in the ankle.
