Valencia Basket open their second Endesa League Finals at Real Madrid’s court

08/06/2017

Valencia Basket opens their second presence in the Endesa League Finals with the first of two consecutive visits to the Real Madrid’s court (Friday 9, 20: 30h, WiZink Center, # 0) in what will be their first showdown against the white team in the Finals. The Taronja squad reaches the final round fourteen years after their first Endesa League Finals after removing for the first time in its 30 years of history FC Barcelona (2-1) and Baskonia (1-3). Valencia Basket has a good dynamic in the last four seasons on the Real Madrid’s court (he has won three of his last eight visits), although he has lost the last three times he has gone out to play at the WiZink Center as a Real Madrid home. For this Final Playoff, coach Pedro Martinez will be able to count on all his roster except Sam Van Rossom, once Rafa Martínez has overcome his problems in the back and Guillem Vives will jump to the parquet despite losing some practices this week for a sprained left ankle.

Pedro Martínez: “We know about the difficulty, but we hope to do well and win"

Valencia Basket coach said in the previous press conference that "I wish we had more options, everything seems too obvious, I would like to have more options than the ones that they are giving to me. The perceptions are one and what happens on the track may be another. We are excited about playing a good PlayOff and we want to win, we know the difficulty and Real Madrid is a good team. I'm happy to achieve the second final in the history of the club but they have been playing 6 final in a row. We want to play at the first quarter and we hope to do things well”.
