Valencia Basket visits the court of the reigning Euroleague champions, Fenerbahçe Dogus

01/11/2017

Valencia Basket will visit for the first time in his European career the court of the current Turkish Airlines Euroleague champion traveling to Istanbul to play against Fenerbahçe Dogus (Thursday 2, 18: 45h, Ulker Sports Arena, Movistar Deportes 1). The taronja squad recovers two players for this game. Croatian power forward Damjan Rudez is already available for the European game and forward Fernando San Emeterio, injured since the Endesa Supercup Finals, has joined the team practices and could have options to play. However, coach Txus Vidorreta keeps Antoine Diot, Joan Sastre and Latavious Williams in the injured list.

Valencia Basket comes to this hard commitment in a positive streak of play and results (chaining five wins in a row) and with the endorsement of being the best defense of the competition (only 65.5 points received per game). The taronja squad occupies at the start of this round 5 of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague the third position with a balance of 3-1, after getting two wins in the double day of last week at Baskonia’s court and with a home win vs. Unicaja.

Vidorreta: "We want to continue competing as we did until now”

Valencia Basket coach, Txus Vidorreta, said in the preview of the game that leads the taronja squad to visit the Fenerbahçe Dogus Istanbul’s court that "we want to play, see our feelings facing the European champion with Zeljko Obradovic, the coach most laureate in the history of European basketball. We want to continue giving good sensations, competing, as the team is doing in all the games we have played so far. And with the illusion of winning, of course".
