Crvena Zvevda mts Belgrade’s fortress shelter the first option to advance to the quarterfinals

22/01/2019

Valencia Basket opens the second leg of the 7DAYS EuroCup Top16 by visiting the court of the Crvena Zvevda mts Belgrade (Wednesday 23, 7:00 p.m., Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, Teledeporte website, delayed 01:00h) in a game in which the team squad will have its first chance to certify the qualification for the quarterfinals of this competition. For this, Valencia Basket would need to win in a court in which the Serbian team has lost only one game in the 2018-19 season so far. A triumph that would extend a streak in European competition that is already of seven wins in a row.

On his side, the taronja squad have their precedents against Crvena Zvevda in EuroCup (where has won in the three games in this competition so far) and that he already knew how to win in this court this season (although Valencia Basket did it with the Partizan NIS Belgrade exercising as a local team). Against, we will find one of the hottest environments in Europe and a conjured rival to try to recover the 16 points of disadvantage they received in the Fonteta to increase his options to advance to the next round.

Regarding its last match in Lugo, Valencia Basket regains the participation of captain Rafa Martínez, although Guillem Vives (left hand fourth finger injury) and Fernando San Emeterio (left leg hamstring injury) have stayed in Valencia. Valencia Basket leads the group G of this Top 16 with a 3-0 in the standings.
