Valencia Basket has closed this afternoon its seventh project "One Team" with the last training session and the presentation of the diplomas to children that, thanks to Mamás en Acción, have participated in the Corporate Social Responsibility program powered by Euroleague Basketball. As in all previous projects, the Club has had again the help of Obra Social "la Caixa".

At the end of the last training, the young participants received this recognition for their involvement and effort from the marketing manager of the Club and One Team Manager, Víctor Luengo, as well as Encarna Alcaide, responsible for Social Action of CaixaBank in the Valencian Community.

Encarna Alcaide valued the experience one more year. "We have checked today how the children have lived, enjoyed, and felt loved in this program. I listened to a child who said he did not want to end the program. For us it is one of the priorities. Because sport and effort trying to help a child to find the way, integrate into society, and avoiding any kind of exclusion, is what we want. This program has all the requirements that we work and we want every day" she explained.

"The success has been that they are happy to see that basketball teaches values, and the most important thing is their intention to follow with the program despite it’s not possible. We are very happy that once again One Team has influenced positively their lives" pointed out Víctor Luengo.

Throughout the ten sessions with which this One Team VII has counted, the fifteen young participants, thanks to Moms in Action, have learned through training the rules and the basics of basketball as a vehicle to know the values of sacrifice and responsibility that derive from organized exercise, to learn to use sport as a way for personal development and as a stimulus to organize their steps so that they can find in the practice of any sport activity a way to grow as people.

Ten sessions, a goal
