Endesa Supercup semifinal vs. Barça raises the curtain of the 2019-20 season

20/09/2019

Valencia Basket opens its official season with its fifth participation in the Endesa Super Cup, where it will face Barça in the semifinals (Saturday 21, 18:30h, Wizink Center, Movistar +) in the game that opens the tournament. The Taronja team will try to keep up the good feelings in a competition that won the last time they played it in 2017. Maurice Ndour (bruise on the right arm) and Quino Colom have been the two sidelined players for the full tournament that is played this weekend. In Barça, in the absence of official final roster for the tournament, Pau Ribas is safely out due to muscular discomfort in the left thigh.

With these two absences, this game can be the official premiere of the other three signings (Brock Motum, Vanja Marinkovic and Jordan Loyd) once the Serbian SG has overcome the back discomforts that did not allow him to play in the presentation game. Valencia Basket will be measured for the third time in this competition at Barça. And he will look for his first win in this tournament against the Blaugrana team, with which he lost the final of 2010 (83-63) and the semifinal of 2012
