First round of the quarterfinals vs. TD Systems Baskonia with the support of the fans at La Fonteta

30/05/2021

Valencia Basket opens its Endesa League quarterfinals Playoff series against TD Systems Baskonia (Monday 31, 7:45 p.m., Movistar Deportes) in a Fonteta in which the taronja squad will be able to have the support of up to 1,500 fans in the stands.

The taronja squad enters the series for the title in good dynamics, with seven wins in its last eight games, and has had a week to continue improving its performance to face this tough best of three games clash.

However, Valencia Basket has the history against, since the taronja squad has only been able to eliminate the Vitorian team on one of the five previous occasions in which faced Baskonia in the acb Playoffs. In the current season equality is the keynote, with two wins for each side and the two teams winning both home games.

Coach Jaume Ponsarnau has the full roster to face this start of the post-season, although coach has already revealed in the preview that he will keep the same 12-man list of the last games, with Josep Puerto and Vanja Marinkovic as players who will be left out of the list if there are no problems in the last work sessions.
