Valencia Basket begins its tour visiting an AS Monaco in good shape

23/03/2023

Valencia Basket men's team begins its tour of four away games in a row by visiting the court of one of the hottest teams on the continent, AS Monaco (Friday 24, 7:00 p.m., Salle Gaston Medecin, DAZN/Movistar+ dial 65) in a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague round 30 game.

The Taronja squad will seek to extend the positive feelings of their last three wins in a row (in which their rivals' scoring has dropped to 75.6 points on average) and try to get a win that allows them to hold on stronger to the fight for entering the Playoffs of the highest European competition.

There are no precedents in Monaco, since it is the first time that Valencia Basket visits this country, which becomes the 27th state in the taronja continental history. But in the only confrontation between these two teams in an official game, the first leg game played at La Fonteta, the victory fell to the Taronja side by 89-84.

The Taronja squad maintains the figure of four absences that it was dragging in recent games, but with changes in the roster. Klemen Prepelic is sidelined for a month due to a muscle tear in the soleus of his left leg but Kyle Alexander returns to the squad after a month out due to a sprained right ankle. Jaime Pradilla (left shoulder) and the long-term injured Sam Van Rossom and Millán Jiménez are still out, so coach Mumbrú has twelve pro-players available to face the game.

Valencia Basket begins this round located in the 10th position of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with 14-15 in the standings.
