Bitter classification to the King’s Cup with loss vs. Covirán Granada (75-81)

Valencia Basket sealed its twelfth consecutive participation in the Copa del Rey despite losing to Covirán Granada in La Fonteta by 75-81 in a game in which Mumbrú's men found neither energy nor accuracy in their fifth game in nine days against a rival that relied on the talent of Felicio first and in the second half on the points of Thomasson and Cheatham to achieve its first historic win in La Fonteta. The taronja team started leading thanks to Robertson's accuracy, but the Andalusian team kept it balanced with the second options it generated with the offensive rebound and took the lead in the second quarter to end up going into the half-time with a two-point lead. An advantage that the Nasrid team strecth to eleven at the end of the third quarter and although they were fourteen points down in the first action of the last act, Valencia Basket got closer, but Cheatham's triples only left room for a comeback to the desperate that it did not happen.
