Complicated challenge for Valencia Basket with the visit to MoraBanc Andorra’s fortress

06/05/2017

Valencia Basket opens a final stretch of the Endesa League Regular Season in which the orange squad will play three matches in eight days visiting the complicated court of MoraBanc Andorra (Sunday 7, 12: 30h, MI Govern Andorra, Movistar + channel 192), a field where only the Baskonia has been able to take the triumph in the fourteen games that have been played there. A first level challenge for the good dynamics in the Endesa League of Valencia Basket, with seven wins in the last eight games, the last three consecutively.

With the aim of being top-four seeded mathematically achieved last Thursday after the dispute of the postponed matches of the 30th week, the Taronja squad faces this game with the objective of continuing to add triumphs to get the best possible final classification. In fact, a win on Sunday morning would certify mathematically that Pedro Martinez's men could in no case fall below the third position at the end of the Regular Season. For this game, the taronja coach maintains the losses by injury of centers Slava Kravtsov and Mike Tobey. Valencia Basket is currently 2nd in the League Endesa, with a balance of 22-7.

Pedro Martínez: “They are a very solid team at home”

Valencia Basket coach, Pedro Martínez, said in the previous press conference that “MoraBanc Andorra is very solid team at home, with only two wins away. They are the same players, but they notice a lot when they play with the support of their fans. Sunday for them is decisive, they lost in Bilbao, they lost the average and where they are going to want to make strong is at home. For them it is practically a final, they have many things in favor with the home-court advantage and we are going to have to play very well so that we do not win the match"
