Serhiy Lishchuk was the surprise guest in the second Bankia ‘Charity Three’

The Taronja Legend Serhiy Lishchuk became the guest star of the second Bankia's ‘Charity Three' of the season, which was held between the third and the last quarter of Valencia Basket's victory vs. MoraBanc Andorra. The former Ukrainian player, who wore the taronja jersey for six seasons between 2009 and 2015, was enjoying the game with his family when he was invited to participate in this initiative that helps to raise funds for the coaches development of the Valencia Basket Foundation. And he did not hesitate to join two other spectators randowly chosen and the players of Valencia Basket Women’s team Irene Garí and Maria Bettencourt to try their luck by throwing from the half-court line.

Although there were several shot that skirted the rim, it was the women's team forward Irene Garí who in her first attempt found the basket from the half-court line. A basket for which Bankia contributes with an additional 100 euros to the Charity Scoreboard in which the gradual growth of the figure that will be donated at the end of the season to the Valencia Basquet 2000 Foundation is reflected. In the 2017-18 season so far, the Charity Scoreboard marks 11,250 euros as a result of the 217 three-pointers scored by the taronja players after the first 23 games of the season and the four ‘Charity Threes' with double value scored vs. Unicaja and MoraBanc Andorra.
