Dr. Cooper, from University of Worcester, visits us to know the Club and L'Alqueria del Basket

07/04/2018

Our Club has received a very special visit these days. Dr. Darren Cooper, head of Sports Therapy at the University of Worcester, has spent a few days in our city to learn more about the structure and operation of Valencia Basket and the facilities of L'Alqueria del Basket. In addition to supervising the practices of three of his British students (Ella Clark, Katie Phillips and Natalia Alexander) who are collaborating in the working routine of our Physiotherapy department.

A visit that only further strengthens the ties of collaboration between these two entities, reflected in initiatives such as the Worcester-Valencia Basket Club International Basketball Campus, which this summer reaches its third edition and continues to increase day by day the number of registered students who do not want to miss the option to improve their knowledge of the English language and basketball in the facilities that the University of Worcester has in the United Kingdom

Dr. Pablo Martínez, responsible for the Physiotherapy of Valencia Basket, has accompanied and served as Dr. Cooper's cicerone during the time he has spent in our city. An opportunity that both professionals have used to share information about different therapies and exchange ideas of possible future projects during visits to the facilities of our Club.

The English doctor did not want to miss the opportunity to enjoy the victory of Valencia Basket against Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv in the game that closed the taronja participation in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and ended yesterday with a local victory by 87-84.
