Worcester-Valencia Basket International Camp 2018 tips-off

The 40 Spanish players who already completed in April the spots available for the third edition of the Worcester-Valencia Basket International Basketball Camp 2018 have left this morning from the airport of Manises to the United Kingdom to unify the practice of basketball with the English language learning for eight days. There they will meet with international campers to graze the figure of a hundred young participants in this unforgettable experience.

 

Once arrived at the facilities of the University of Worcester and perfectly equipped with official clothes of Valencia Basket, campers will have in the afternoon of Sunday their first practice to make the working groups of the week and a first test of their level of English

 

Intensive daily programme

The daily programme runs from 9 am – 9 pm and will include skill stations, drills, individual workouts and analysis, competitions and a minimum of two games per day.

 

Campers are grouped by age and ability level to provide a challenging, yet positive Worcester/Valencia Basket camp experience.

 

High quality kit for players

Each camper will receive official Valencia clothing that includes hoodie, t-shirt, reversible vest, playing uniform (shorts and vest) and a large official club player’s kit bag.

 

Excellent basketball facilities

The University of Worcester Arena is an iconic and inclusive 2,000 seat venue with three competition basketball playing courts, courtside teaching facilities, corporate area and extended changing rooms with ice baths.

 

The Arena has been the training base for GB Men and Women in preparation for Eurobasket 2015 Championships. It is the home of GB Men and Women Wheelchair Basketball teams and hosted the 2015 European Wheelchair Basketball Championships.

 

 There are an additional two basketball courts with adjoining fitness facilities at the University’s St. John’s Sports Centre.
