Valencia Basket returns to Ankara 17 years later

Valencia Basket will return in its first European away game of the 2018-19 season to Ankara 17 years later to face Turk Telekom (Wednesday 10, 19:00h, Ankara Arena, Teledeporte). The taronja squad does not visit the capital of Turkey since their last participation in the Saporta Cup, in the 2001-02 season, and many things have changed in the two clubs. After falling to the Turkish second division in 2016, the capital team achieved promotion to the top division last season and will return to European competitions eight years later. And for it to be a significant step, it has made a strong economic investment to incorporate experienced players in the highest level of European basketball as the last season’s Endesa League top scorer Sylven Landersberg, Vladimir Stimac, Reggie Redding or Kenny Gabriel.
