Tobey and Prepelic will face France for a spot in the Olympics’ final

The Slovenia of Mike Tobey and Klemen Prepelic will fight to get into the final of the basketball tournament in the Tokyo Olympic Games against France in a semifinal that will be played on Thursday, August 5 at 1:00 p.m. The Slovenian side got the ticket for this semifinals after clearly beating Germany by 94-70 in the quarterfinals in a game in which Mike Tobey went back to double digits (13 points and 11 rebounds for 22 index) while that Klemen Prepelic contributed to the win with 9 points and 2 rebounds. France got its pass to the semifinals after beating Italy by 75-84.

 

The one that ended its participation in the Olympic Games is Spain, which lost in its quarter-final game against the United States by 81-95 with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 12 index from Víctor Claver. The Valencian forward has been one of the most outstanding players of the national team in this tournament, being the second best ranked of the Spanish team with a score of 8.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1 assist for 13,3 index. The other side of the coin is put by the other taronja player in the the national team roster, forward Xabi López-Arostegui, who was injured after making his debut at the Olympic Games playing 4 minutes in the first game against Japan and those physical problems have prevented from participating in any of the following games.
