Valencia Basket catches up to date recovering its postponed game vs. Monbus Obradoiro

22/12/2021

Valencia Basket seeks to close positively its streak of three home-games in a row  at La Fonteta after suffering two defeats against Río Breogán and Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljaba, recovering their postponed game of the Endesa League round 13 (initially scheduled for December 12 and changed due to the detection of positives of Covid-19 in the team) against Monbús Obradoiro (Thursday 23, 20:30, Fonteta, Movistar Deportes) in a game in which the Taronja squad will try to add an important win to face the final three rounds of the first leg within the positions that give access to the Copa del Rey.

Coach Joan Peñarroya will take charge of the team again after two games sidelined and will have his full roster with the exception of Valencian forward Víctor Claver.

In a game that will put two of the best centers in the competition face to face with the duel between Dubljevic and Birutis and in which Albert Oliver will surpass his own record as the oldest visitor player who plays an acb game at Fonteta, the previous clashes are favorable to the Taronja squad, which has only lost once in the previous eleven home-games played against this rival.

Valencia Basket currently occupies the ninth position in the Endesa League, with a balance of 7-6.
