Valencia Basket seeks to change dynamics in its first visit to Partizan Belgrade in EuroLeague

30/11/2022

Valencia Basket opens a series of three consecutive away games to try to break its bad result dynamics on one of the most difficult courts to do so, that of Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade (Thursday 1, 8:45 p.m., Stark Arena, DAZN/Movistar+ dial 64) in a game corresponding to the eleventh round of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

The Taronja team will need to recover some of its offensive spark after a series of games in which it has had trouble scoring against one of the rivals that plays to a higher number of possessions in the competition and that is the one that receives the most points in the Euroleague (86.9 average).

It will be the second time that Valencia Basket visits the court of the black and white team, although it will be the first time in the highest continental competition and the first time at the Stark Arena. The precedents are favorable to the taronja team, which has always beaten this rival in an official game.

The great novelty of the twelve-player roster that heads to Belgrade this afternoon is the absence of Klemen Prepelic due to back discomfort and the presence of Guillem Ferrando in the expedition after he was recovered from his loan on Monday and joined yesterday to work with the group. There will be four sidelined players that the Taronja team will have in this game as Sam Van Rossom (had surgery yesterday on his right knee), Millán Jiménez (left ankle) and the long-term injured Martin Hermannsson are still absent.

Valencia Basket begins this round located in the 12th position with a 4-6 in the standings.
