Valencia Basket closes its demanding week on the Barça's court

04/02/2023

Valencia Basket men's team closes its series of four games in eight days by visiting the court of the hottest team in the Endesa League, Barça (Sunday 5, 12:30 p.m., Fonteta, #Vamos) in a game corresponding to round 19 of the acb.

The Taronja squad will try to recover energy after the exhaustion of the Euroleague double-game week to look for its best version and try to change its recent bad dynamics as a visitor in the Endesa League in one of the most difficult scenarios to do so, since Barça has not lost this season at home in acb.

Although the history is clearly unfavorable for Valencia Basket, the recent history at the Palau Blaugrana does favor the Taronja team, which has won six of its last ten visits to this arena in national competition games and has won in its last two visits in the Regular Season.

In the two clashes this season, both played at La Fonteta, a victory for each side: Barça won first in the Endesa League and the orange team won by one point in the Euroleague.

This game could mean the return of Cuban Jasiel Rivero, who already had a few minutes in Thursday's game, but Xabi López-Arostegui is questionable after missing the game against the Israelis due to some discomfort in his right knee.

Dubljevic, Van Rossom, Hermannsson and Millán Jiménez are still sidelined due to injury.

Valencia Basket begins this round located in the 8th position with a balance of 9-9.
