Second appointment of the Cremà Taronja to host Covirán Granada for the first time

18/03/2023

Valencia Basket men’s team will repeat at La Fonteta in the second meeting of the day of the Cremà to host Covirán Granada for the first time (Sunday 19, 6:00 p.m., Fonteta, Movistar Deportes 2) in a Endesa League round 23  game.

The taronja squad will try to take advantage of the positive inertia of its win in the last play against Fenerbahçe Beko Istanbul to recover all the energy possible and try to extend their good dynamics at home in the acb (six home games wins in a row) and extend their good moment recently in this tournament (three consecutive wins in the Endesa League).

This young team will become the third club from Granada to visit our pavilion for a national competition match and the 47th of the different rivals that have played at La Fonteta in acb.

Although there are no precedents against this rival, the Taronja team has won 13 of the 14 visits by a rival from Granada to our gym. To find the only victory of a team from Granada in La Fonteta, you have to go back to the 2005-06 season and to go back to the last visit of a team from this city, to the 2010-11 campaign.

The Taronja team maintains the four absences it has had in recent games: Jaime Pradilla (left shoulder), Kyle Alexander (right ankle sprain) and the long-term injuries of Sam Van Rossom and Millán Jiménez, to which they will have to add the absence of one of its three non-EU players (Jared Harper is the one who is currently out).

Valencia Basket begins this round located in the 8th position of the Endesa League with a record of 12-10.
