Valencia Basket wants to continue fighting on its visit to the Zalgiris Kaunas court

30/03/2023

Valencia Basket men's team seeks to close their tour of four away games in a positive way by visiting the stadium of one of the best local teams in the competition, Zalgiris Kaunas (Friday 31, 7:00 p.m., Zalgirio Arena, DAZN) in a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague round 32 game.

The taronja team needs to add the victory in one of the courts that historically have been better for Valencia Basket interests in this tournament (they have won in four of their five previous visits) to keep alive their small mathematical options to reach the Playoffs.

To increase those options, it would also be important to recover the particular basket-average with the green team, which won at Fonteta in the first leg by 76-80. A defeat in Lithuania would leave Álex Mumbrú's men with no chance of finishing in the top eight.

Valencia Basket has traveled to Kaunas with a roster of thirteen players including Kyle Alexander (who has missed the last few games due to a sprained right ankle) and Bojan Dubljevic (who finished Wednesday's game in Belgrade with right knee discomfort). In addition to these two questionable players, Klemen Prepelic, Sam Van Rossom and Millán Jiménez still sidelined.

Valencia Basket begins this round located in the 13th position of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with a balance of 14-17.
