Valencia Basket appeals to La Fonteta to begin its reaction vs. Real Betis Baloncesto

15/04/2023

Less than two days after finishing their participation in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Valencia Basket men's team will try to break its losing streak in national competition and become strong again at La Fonteta, hosting Real Betis Baloncesto (Sunday 16, 20: 00h, Movistar Deportes 2) in a game that will close Endesa League round 27.

The taronja team will seek to change a negative dynamic that has led it to chain three defeats in the acb and lose all the advantage it had over its pursuers in the race to be in the Playoff against a rival that has carried out a profound remodeling of its roster and have improved a lot in recent games to try to escape from the relegation zone.

And that has also shown itself to be an uncomfortable visitor, since it is one of the teams that has achieved the best results in La Fonteta in recent times, having won at the Taronja fiefdom in four of its last ten visits in the Regular League, including the last season clash.

It will be a very special game for Shannon Evans, who will face the team with which he began the season for the first time before joining Valencia Basket.

Sam Van Rossom and Klemen Prepelic still sidelined and Xabi López-Arostegui is questionable after the Spanish forward missed Friday's game in Barcelona due to discomfort in the plantar fascia of his left foot.

Millán Jiménez continues with his set-up after the ankle injury and today he will play with the LEB Plata second team. In addition, one of the three non-EU players will not be able to be registered for this game, with Jared Harper currently out.

Valencia Basket begins this round located in the 8th position of the Endesa League with 13-13 in the standings.
