The last quarter condemns Valencia Basket in Murcia (90-82)

Valencia Basket fell by 90-82 on their visit to the UCAM Murcia’s court in a game in which, despite their poor shooting percentages, they got up three times thanks to Harper (21 points) and Dubljevic (13 points and 14 rebounds) to stay in the game until an offensive blackout in the last quarter ended their options. The Taronja team balanced the good start in the 3-point accuracy of the university team in the first quarter with the offensive rebound and recovered from the appearance of McFadden (who led the Murcians to make eight of their first eleven triples) with a defensive improvement in the last minutes of the second act and the entry of Hermannsson to get one down at halftime. After the break, it was the local centers that stretched the Murcian advantage but the solidity of Dubljevic held up the team in the worst moments and Harper's return to the game ignited the Taronja offensive to keep the game tight. Andronikashvili's energy and Taronja's ineffectiveness at the start of the last one gave a new blow, which was already decisive for the result of the game.
