A direct showdown for the leadership of the Liga Endesa vs. La Laguna Tenerife.
Valencia Basket's men’s team will make up for their postponed game from the sixth round of the Liga Endesa by hosting La Laguna Tenerife (Friday, December 13, 20:05h, Fonteta, Movistar Deportes 2). The winner of this game will take first place in the ACB.
Originally scheduled for November 3 and postponed due to the aftermath of the DANA storm, the game will once again raise awareness of the needs of those affected by this tragedy and focus on proposals to solve related problems through “15 matches, 15 initiatives.”
The orange squad faces the challenge of maintaining their strong home performance in a clash of styles, pitting the two most effective offenses in Liga Endesa. Previous encounters at the Fonteta have been favorable for the home team, and although the black and yellow team won in 2020, the last three matchups ended in a Valencia victory.
To continue their good momentum, coach Pedro Martínez knows he will be without injured players Ethan Happ and Nate Reuvers, and the status of point guard Sergio De Larrea remains uncertain, as he had to leave Tuesday’s game in Hamburg after injuring his ankle.
Valencia Basket enters this sixth-round makeup game in second place in the Liga Endesa, with a record of 7-2 and a general point difference of +109.
