Cloakroom Usage Rules for Valencia Basket Games

Location: outside, in front of the entrance at Gate C.

Cloakroom Service Terms and Conditions

The external cloakroom service at the Roig Arena facilities will be available to all attendees holding a ticket and/or a valid access pass for Valencia Basket Club S.A.D. matches (the “Cloakroom”).

Use of the Cloakroom during Valencia Basket Club S.A.D. games constitutes express acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Rates and Operating Procedure

  1. Standard Item: €1.50 (VAT included) per unit
    Standard items are considered those of small or medium size.
    Examples: small backpacks, small suitcases (55x40x25), handbags, umbrellas, helmets, baby strollers.

  2. Bulky Item: €2.50 (VAT included) per unit
    Bulky items are considered those exceeding 55x40x25.
    Examples: suitcases larger than 55x40x25, large or non-foldable packages, musical instruments in hard cases, foldable scooters or sports equipment.

Note: Cloakroom staff reserves the right to classify an item as standard or bulky based on its measurements.

After presenting the ticket, season pass and/or valid access title for the Valencia Basket Club match at Roig Arena, the user must identify themselves with their full name, ID number and email address, after which payment can be processed, and the item will be accepted into the Cloakroom.
Payments can be made in cash (euros) or by available electronic means.

Once the item is accepted, the user will be issued a numbered receipt or deposit slip, which is essential for retrieving the item later (the “Receipt”).

In the event of a lost Receipt, the holder must prove their identity and wait until the service closes to retrieve the deposited item.

Opening Hours

  • Opening: 2 hours before the start of the match.
  • Closing: 30 minutes after the match ends.

Once the service is closed, items cannot be retrieved until the following day.

Retrieval Outside These Hours

  • If you wish to retrieve your item outside these hours during Valencia Basket Club S.A.D. games, users must first contact Customer Service at informacion@valenciabasket.com to arrange the return. The Receipt will be required for collection.
  • A fee of ten euros (€10) will be charged as a penalty.

Unclaimed items will be held by the Operator for a maximum of 30 calendar days from the day following the event. After this period, they will be considered abandoned, and the Operator will be entitled to dispose of them at its discretion (donation, recycling, or destruction), with no right to compensation or claims by users.

General Conditions

The following items will not be accepted for deposit:

  • High-value items. For example, jewellery, watches, works of art, objects of significant economic value, cash exceeding €200, payment instruments (credit, debit cards or others), irreplaceable personal and/or legal documentation, high-end electronic devices (laptops, professional cameras, etc.).

If a user deposits any of these items in breach of this rule, Valencia Basket accepts no responsibility for their loss, damage, misplacement or deterioration, as their deposit has not been authorised.

  • Prohibited substances or illegal items (drugs, narcotics, or psychotropic substances), stolen or illegally obtained items, dangerous objects (firearms, replicas or knives, ammunition), sharp or pointed objects, pyrotechnics, explosives, flares or firecrackers, flammable or corrosive liquids (petrol, acids, sprays, etc.), defective or battery-powered devices, toxic, chemical or polluting substances, animals or living beings, perishable goods, alcoholic beverages, strong-smelling or poorly packaged food.

Valencia Basket reserves the right to inspect any item before admitting it into the cloakroom and may refuse its deposit if it considers that it does not comply with these conditions or poses a risk to the safety of the event, attendees, facilities, or property of Valencia Basket or Roig Arena.

Cloakroom staff may reject any item not expressly listed here if deemed inappropriate, dangerous, incompatible with the available space, or contrary to the Roig Arena’s access and stay regulations.

Liability

Valencia Basket Club S.A.D. shall not be held liable in the following cases:

  • When prohibited items are deposited in breach of these rules.
  • If high-value items are concealed without prior declaration of their contents and value and without obtaining Valencia Basket’s express authorisation for their deposit.
  • For damage, loss, or misplacement of deposited items or goods caused by unforeseen circumstances, force majeure, or acts by third parties unrelated to the organisation.
  • When the user fails to comply with these cloakroom terms of use.

In no event shall Valencia Basket Club S.A.D.’s liability exceed TWO HUNDRED EUROS (€200) per deposited item, unless the user has expressly declared a higher value in advance and such declaration has been expressly accepted by the cloakroom staff of Valencia Basket.

This limitation shall not apply in cases of loss or damage caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct by the venue.

Users of the Cloakroom shall hold Valencia Basket Club S.A.D. harmless from any damages arising from their failure to comply with the obligations set out in these terms.

Personal Data Protection

In accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (GDPR) and Article 11 of Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights, we inform you that your personal data will be processed by Valencia Basket Club, S.A.D. for the purpose of properly managing the deposit and retrieval of items in the Cloakroom. The legal basis for processing your data is the performance of a contract. We will only process the data you provide (full name, ID number, and email address), and your data will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law. There are no international data transfers. You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, objection, erasure, portability and restriction of your personal data by writing to: C/ Hermanos Maristas, 16, Valencia (Valencia), CP 46013, with the subject “GDPR: Exercise of Rights” and/or by email to valencia.basket@valenciabasket.com. You may also file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
