Valencia Basket ended its losing streak and won
again away from home in the Endesa League by winning on the court of Zunder
Palencia by 77-101 in a team win with six players with double figures in
scoring. The taronja team started the game behind but took control of the game
with a 2-15 run between the end of the first quarter and the beginning of the
second with the outside accuracy of Harper and Robertson. Ndiaye ignited in
defense the Palencian reaction that Van der Vuurst and Franke executed to tie
the game again but another run, driven this time by Davies, led the Valencian
team with a nine-point lead at the half-time. After the break, points from
Chris Jones protected the lead and a moment of inspiration from Harper and
Ojeleye extended it and another from Reuvers even more, over twenty points. The
Taronja team did not take its foot off the defensive accelerator in the last
quarter to protect its advantage and add its eighth win in the Endesa League.
