Defeat on Tel Aviv (84-68)
Valencia Basket fell on the court of Maccabi
Playtika Tel Aviv 84-68 in a match in which, although they entered the match
better than their rival, the Israeli team took the lead when they found some
success in the three-pointer and punished the mistakes in the shooting and
losses of the taronja team to gradually increase their advantage to a peak of
14 points at the beginning of the second half. The defensive improvement,
together with the offensive appearance of Xabi López-Arostegui ignited the
Valencian reaction that allowed them to get into the game and get within two
before the end of that same third quarter. However, Valencia Basket could not
contain the good offensive output of the Israelis at the start of the last act
and ran out of options to turn the score around.
