Valencia Basket closed a very complicated week
with a defeat on the Baskonia’s court by 83-74. After an even start, the
taronja team took the lead on the scoreboard thanks to Inglis at the end of the
first quarter and remained ahead with a small advantage thanks to the points
from Robertson and Jones, although a final run by the local team sent the game to
half-time with a minimal Taronja advantage. Baskonia came out strong after the break
to extend that quarter its run to 15-0 but Ojeleye and Davies allowed Valencia
Basket to get back into the game in the third quarter. Despite being ten down
at the start of the last quarter, the Taronja team tried to come back from
defense but the local team found accuracy in the three-pointers at the key
moment of the game to secure the local win.
