Do or die game to survive in the Euroleague vs. TD Systems Baskonia
Valencia Basket closes the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season with a do or die game vs. TD Systems Baskonia (Thursday 8, 9:00 p.m., Fonteta, DAZN / Movistar dial 60) in a game in which the two teams play each other the possibility of being in the most expensive Playoff in history with the new competition format.
The Taronja squad needs to win their match against Vitoria and wait for a defeat from Real Madrid or Zenit St. Petersburg to extend their European season and get their place in the 2021-22 Euroleague, while a defeat tomorrow marks the end of the European campaign for our men’s team.
For this battle, the Valencia Basket coach will have all his players available, once Martin Hermannsson has recovered from a fiber break in the soleus of his right leg that has made him miss the last five games.
The precedents are favorable to the taronja squad, which has won in three of the four visits by the Vitorians to the Fonteta in continental competition and which prevailed in the only precedent of this season in Valencian territory, in an Endesa League game, by 83- 61.
Although Valencia Basket has lost two other times to this rival this season, including the defeat by the minimum with a Baskonian comeback included in the first leg game. The taronja team currently occupies the tenth position of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with a balance of 18-15.
