A nail-biting defeat at the home of the European champions (82-79)

J22 EuroLeague

Valencia Basket fell to a narrow defeat on their visit to the reigning EuroLeague champions, Fenerbahçe Beko Istanbul, by a score of 82-79. They fought hard, clinging to the offensive glass and finding some three-point shooting despite the Turkish defense forcing them to significantly lower their shooting percentages in the paint. They battled until the final buzzer, hoping for a last-ditch effort to tie the game, but their shot fell short.

Declas Pedro Martínez

"We have to focus on the full 40 minutes of the game. We made some individual plays towards the end, especially with Jean Montero, and had opportunities, but we need to defend one-on-one situations better throughout the game. But we didn't give up; we had a good mentality, and that's the positive takeaway from today."
