A nail-biting defeat in Paris (90-86)

J11 EuroLeague

Valencia Basket fell in their first visit to Paris Basketball's home court, losing 90-86. They led for most of the game but couldn't withstand the home team's late surge, ultimately falling in a close finish. Valencia began to control the game with a strong offensive second quarter after a fast-paced but slow start from both sides. Pedro Martínez's men built a lead that reached twelve points with a 2-14 run and managed to protect it by halftime. The Valencian team held off Paris's initial comeback attempt with three consecutive three-pointers, but the home side found their outside shooting touch, chipping away at Valencia's lead and closing to four points as the final quarter began. Valencia Basket fought back as best they could, but Paris Basketball's three-pointers allowed them to take the lead with just over a minute remaining and secure the victory.

Quotes Pedro Martínez

“We had a great opportunity, but our final possessions weren't good. Maybe we should have tried to get to the free-throw line a bit more on those last few attacks. We should have made better decisions in the final 1-2 minutes. Basketball is all about the details.”
