A semifinal between the two most offensively efficient teams in the Liga Endesa

Liga Endesa Playoffs

Valencia Basket and La Laguna Tenerife have competed all season long for the same goals in domestic competition. Both teams earned top seed status in the Copa del Rey draw by finishing in the Top 4 at the halfway point of the season. They battled side by side for second place behind the unstoppable Real Madrid, a position that the Taronja squad secured by first winning at the Santiago Martín in Round 33 and then overtaking Tenerife in the final game of the Regular Season. After both teams advanced quickly through the quarterfinals, that second-place finish now allows Valencia Basket to start this semifinal with the first two games at home, the first of which will be played on Tuesday, June 10 at 21:15 (tickets available from €40, or €34 for our Amics Taronja members).

But the Taronjas and Laguneros haven’t spent the whole season competing just for a spot in the standings. Throughout the year, they’ve dominated offensive efficiency statistics and have taken turns leading those rankings. Although they are on opposite ends when it comes to pace, both teams have broken acb Regular Season records in offensive categories, staying true to their playing styles. They enter this series with their sights firmly set on three-point shooting, even improving on the strong numbers both teams posted during the Regular Season.
