Hungary secured an important win over Estonia to stay in the race, with Reuvers as their most prominent player. Mo Gueye made his international debut with Senegal, winning two of their three games; Valtonen’s Finland dominated in Estonia to remain in World Cup‑qualifying positions; and Gonzalo Corbalán’s Argentina took a significant step toward the World Cup by beating Puerto Rico and competing well in Canada.
