Valencia Basket had to fight until the final buzzer to keep their winning streak alive, securing an 81-84 victory on the road against Bàsquet Girona. They led for most of the game, but Girona's outside shooting, particularly from Busquets, turned it into a nail-biter. A three-pointer, this time from Reuvers, ultimately tipped the scales in Valencia's favor in the closing minutes, as Girona failed to capitalize on two opportunities to force overtime. The Valencia team achieved their third-best offensive rebounding record in Liga Endesa history, grabbing 24 offensive rebounds.
Quotes Pedro Martínez
“The first half was quite even. We had a very good third quarter and could have built a lead of more than 10, but we couldn't capitalize because we missed some clear opportunities and also because they fought incredibly hard and managed to get back into the game. Overall, we were out of rhythm for long stretches due to their ability to press us full court. They forced us to shoot threes, and we managed a decent percentage, but I think the difference was made by offensive rebounding, which gave us more opportunities and allowed us to win the game.”
