Fam, Buenavida, and Araújo will join Spain for the preparation of the World Cup Pre-Qualifiers 

Valencia Basket players Awa Fam, Elena Buenavida, and María Araújo will join the Spanish national team during the upcoming FIBA window to prepare for the World Cup Pre-Qualifiers, which will take place in March in Puerto Rico. The three taronjas, along with Alicia Flórez—currently on loan to Durán Maquinaria Ensino—have been included in the list of 16 players who will take part in this training period. For Flórez, this is her first call-up to the national team.

The training camp will begin on November 10, and four days later, the national team will compete in the International Tournament of La Línea from November 14 to 16, facing high-level opponents:

• Friday, November 14: Spain vs Italy (6:45 p.m.)

• Saturday, November 15: France vs Italy (7:30 p.m.)

• Sunday, November 16: Spain vs France (5:00 p.m.)

The FIBA Women’s World Cup Pre-Qualifiers will take place simultaneously in four venues from March 11 to 17, with Puerto Rico being Spain’s location. There, in Group B, Spain will face New Zealand, Senegal, Puerto Rico, Italy, and the United States. The top three teams from each group will advance.
