Valencia Basket men’s team will face Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens in the EuroLeague Playoffs after the Greek side’s victory in their Play-In game against AS Monaco by 87-79, which secured them seventh place in the regular season standings and set up a clash with the “taronja” side, who finished second after the 38 rounds of the competition’s first phase.

The best-of-five quarterfinal series will begin with two games at the Roig Arena. The first will be played on Tuesday, April 28 at 20:45, and the second on Thursday, April 30 at 20:45. Tickets for both games are already available on the official Valencia Basket website.

The series will then move to Athens the following week, with Game 3 scheduled for May 5/6 and Game 4, if necessary, for May 7/8. If a fifth game is needed to decide the Final Four spot, the series would return to the Roig Arena on May 12 or 13, with the time yet to be confirmed.

A continental classic for the “taronja” side

Valencia Basket and Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens have faced each other 14 times in EuroLeague games. If this quarterfinal series goes to a fifth game, the Greek side would become the most frequent opponent in Valencia’s European history. The Valencia team currently leads the head-to-head record 8–6 after winning both matchups this season: 79–89 in the first-round game played at the Telekom Center Athens and 102–84 in the Round 37 game held less than two weeks ago at the Roig Arena.
