Preseason Finale with victory against Río Breogán (78-101)

Valencia Basket wrapped up its preseason by claiming the 10th EncestaRías ACB tournament, defeating Río Breogán in the final by 78-101. The team struck early to gain an advantage with a strong scoring first quarter and managed to withstand the Galician side’s improvement in the second quarter to head into halftime in front. After the break, Pedro Martínez’s men locked down their basket to extend the lead at the start of the second half and managed it effectively to ensure the win was never in danger.
The taronja squad played this game still missing its three injured players (López-Arostegui, Montero, and Badio). Next up: the first official game of the season in the Endesa Supercup semifinal against Unicaja on Saturday, September 27, at 6:00 p.m.
