Second Chapter of the ACB Playoff Quarterfinal Clash with Surne Bilbao Basket

Valencia Basket men's team will have the first of its two chances to secure a place in the Liga Endesa semifinals in the second game of its quarterfinal playoff series against Surne Bilbao Basket (Friday 5, 7:00 p.m., Bilbao Arena, DAZN). The team had to come from behind and endure a tough battle to claim the opening point of the series at Roig Arena with a narrow 83-80 victory.

It will not be an easy task on the court of an opponent that has managed to disrupt Valencia Basket's offensive rhythm for long stretches of the last two games and has also proven to be one of the strongest home teams in the Liga Endesa, posting a 13-4 record in front of its fans.

Although Valencia Basket has won half of its Liga Endesa visits to Bilbao and has claimed victory in two of its three playoff games at Miribilla, the historical record shows that Valencia Basket has only managed to close out a quarterfinal series in the second game after taking a 1-0 lead on two occasions out of eight previous instances.

Valencia Basket will continue to be without the injured Xabi López-Arostegui and Josep Puerto. Isaac Nogués was unable to play in Wednesday's game due to an ankle injury, while Matt Costello missed the opening game of the series following the birth of his fourth child.
