Solid team win against Casademont Zaragoza to close a frenetic start to 2026 (115–73)

Liga Endesa round 10

Valencia Basket wrapped up its sixth game in eleven days by giving Roig Arena another reason to celebrate with a convincing team win over Casademont Zaragoza, 115–73, in a game in which as many as seven different players scored in double figures.

The taronja side started in control with a strong opening from three-point range, but although they improved defensively in the second quarter, they were unable to capitalize on second-chance opportunities from offensive rebounds and on a rival’s poor outside shooting. Zaragoza stayed in the game thanks to Robinson’s points, allowing the lead to grow to eight by halftime.

After the break, Valencia’s defense showed its best version, forcing turnovers and playing at pace to extend the lead with a 10–0 run. From there, they not only held firm but also won the exchange of baskets to keep stretching the advantage, tightening up again defensively in the final quarter until sealing the final score.

Pedro Martínez post-game quotes

“When you lose, even if we don’t dramatize it, it always affects your confidence a bit. I think that was also visible in the first half. Not at the beginning, when we were very good, but later on, in the second quarter, we had some doubts. Still, we finished the second quarter well and in the third quarter we broke the game open. So this helps us regain some good feelings. The bad news is Nate Reuvers’ injury—he couldn’t play in the second half due to an ankle sprain. We also hope that some other players who are dealing with physical issues can recover. These things worry us. We want all our players to be healthy. But we’ll see what happens.”
