Valencia Basket men’s team has traveled today to face the third game of their Liga Endesa semifinal series against La Laguna Tenerife (Saturday 14th, 9:15 PM, Santiago Martín Arena, Vamos/Movistar+ Deportes). The team arrives with confidence, built on the solid work that has allowed them to win the first two games of a semifinal series for the first time in their history and the strong performances shown so far. However, they remain cautious and fully aware of the difficulty of the challenge ahead, as they prepare to step onto a tough court for the first of their opportunities to seal a place in their third ACB final.

The Taronja team is preparing to face the best version of an opponent that has been one of the most efficient offenses in the Liga Endesa all season. Nevertheless, Valencia has managed to control them in the first two games, notably reducing their two-point shooting percentage, which had reached record levels during the regular season.

On an eight-game winning streak and holding a favorable overall record against this opponent, Valencia Basket is still mindful of Tenerife’s recent reaction in the regular season game played just three weeks ago—a narrow 99–102 win for Valencia.

History shows that Valencia Basket has never advanced through a semifinal series without at least one loss, and of the 41 ACB Playoff series the team has played so far, they’ve only managed to sweep their opponent three times.

In terms of the roster, alongside long-term injured player Ethan Happ, Xabi López-Arostegui is questionable for the game after taking a hit to his right calf during Game 2 of the series.
