Valencia Basket secures first point against Dreamland Gran Canaria (98-74)
G1 1/4 PlayOff Liga Endesa vs Dreamland Gran Canaria
Valencia Basket secured the first point of their Endesa League Playoff quarterfinal tie against Dreamland Gran Canaria after winning 98-74 at Fonteta in a match in which, after a first half in which the visiting team reacted to our strong start, Pedro Martínez's men exploded in an excellent third quarter. The second match of the series will take place on Wednesday the 4th at 9:15 p.m. at the Gran Canaria Arena. The orange team started in control after a good first quarter of shooting, in which the Canary Islands team's effectiveness also declined, allowing them to take a lead that helped them hold the lead when the tables turned. Valencia Basket struggled to score, while Dreamland Gran Canaria found the basket easily and closed within two, although they managed to hold on to take the lead into the locker room. Valencia Basket came out swinging after halftime, completely nullifying their opponent with their defensive intensity and blowing the game away with a 29-4 run in the third quarter. With both coaches managing their efforts and already looking ahead to Game 2, the Yellows showed their pride to reduce their deficit.
