Valencia Basket wraps up a tough week on the road at Kosner Baskonia’s court

Liga Endesa round 9

Miguel Ángel Polo

Valencia Basket men’s team faces its second away game of the week, visiting a team in excellent home shape as they travel to the court of Kosner Baskonia (Sunday 7th, 7:00 PM, Fernando Buesa Arena, DAZN) in a Round 9 matchup of the Liga Endesa.

The taronja team will have to recover as well as possible from the titanic effort made to win on the court of Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens before heading to Vitoria to take on an opponent that has strung together seven consecutive home victories, has not lost at home for a month and a half, and remains unbeaten this season at the Fernando Buesa Arena in Liga Endesa.

Baskonia’s excellent current form makes it even tougher to try to maintain the good recent run in visits to a court that had historically been the toughest for Valencia Basket in the ACB, but where they have managed to take the win in three of their last five visits.

Valencia Basket will be without the injured Xabi López-Arostegui, and will wait until the last moment to see if power forward Braxton Key—absent in Friday’s game in Athens—can rejoin the group.

Valencia Basket begins this ninth round of the Liga Endesa in first place with a 7–1 record.
