Endesa League returns to La Fonteta with the visit of Casademont Zaragoza

Valencia Basket returns to La Fonteta to open the Endesa League round 7 after two weeks without national competition with the aim of recovering sensations in this tournament and breaking its negative streak in the league tournament by playing against Casademont Zaragoza (Saturday 24, 18:00h, Fonteta, Movistar Deportes 1).

 

The taronja team will face this game less than two days after their last official commitment, with the wear and tear of having played in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague on Thursday and with the moral injection of the solid win obtained on the court of Zalgiris Kaunas by 82-94.

 

The game will be played without an audience due to the restrictions imposed by the CSD that prevent Endesa League games from having fans in the stands. It will be a very special meeting for the young power forward Jaime Pradilla, who for the first time will face Casademont Zaragoza in an official game after leaving the red team for Valencia a few months ago.

 

The general record is favorable to the taronja team (12-2 at La Fonteta) and also the recent precedents, since Valencia Basket has had six victories in the last six visits for the Zaragoza’s team, including two wins in last year's commitments.

 

The only sidelined player due to injury for this game will be guard Joan Sastre, so coach Ponsarnau will have to make two technical discards. After having rested in this odd Endesa League last weekend, Valencia Basket began this seventh round in 13th position with a balance of 2-3.
