First away game in the Euroleague to visit Anadolu Efes Istanbul

Valencia Basket men's team will play its first away game in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague after three victories in the Fonteta to visit the Anadolu Efes Istanbul’s court (Friday 20, 7:30 p.m., Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, Movistar Deportes 3) in a round 4 game.

 

In what will be their fourth game in eight days and with hardly any time to recover after last night's effort, the Taronja team traveled to Istanbul this afternoon to try to keep their good dynamic of results open (seven wins in a row) and will seek to equal their best historical start in the Euroleague (it started with four wins in the 2003-04 campaign) on a court that has been historically difficult for the taronja squad (it lost in its first four visits) but where it won for the first time last season.

 

To try to get the win in Istanbul, Valencia Basket will need to maintain its good defensive performance, which allows it to currently be the team with the best defensive rating (99.8 points conceded every 100 possessions), the one that receives the fewest points (68.3) and the one that allows the least rating (63.7) against an opponent that is one of those that plays with the highest pace in the competition (72 possessions per game).

 

The Taronja team will travel with 13 players, the participation of Semi Ojeleye is doubtful (who also missed Wednesday's game due to overload) and the injured players are out. Jared Harper (right shoulder), Martin Hermannsson and Xabi López -Arostegui. The young Lucas Marí completes the roster.

 

Valencia Basket begins this round 4 in third position in the Euroleague with a 3-0.
