Hard test for the taronja streak in the complicated court of San Pablo Burgos
Valencia Basket opens a series of three consecutive away-games visiting for the second time the court of San Pablo Burgos (Saturday 15, 18:00 hours, Coliseum Burgos, Movistar Deportes) in a Endesa League Regular Season round 12 game. The taronja squad puts into play its winning streak (four wins in a row, the last three at home) on a court where several top teams have fallen. And it will do so with the aim of maintaining its good defensive activity of the last games to break its bad dynamic as a visitor in the Endesa League, where it does not win away from the Fonteta since the triumph on the court of Monbus Obradoiro on round 4.
The main novelty in the call is the absence of the Montenegrin center Bojan Dubljevic, who sprained his left ankle in the 7DAYS EuroCup game vs. Zenit St.Petersburg. However, French pointguard Antoine Diot already had a few minutes in the game against the Russians and could return to play a Endesa League for the first time since the night in which Valencia Basket won the 2017 title. This game will also mean the first reunion with one of the members of that champion team, the Ukrainian center Slava Kravtsov, now enrolled in the ranks of the Burgos team. Without Dubljevic and Sastre (back), the taronja squad have twelve available players. Valencia Basket currently occupies the seventh position of the Endesa League, with a balance of 6 wins and 5 losses.
