Hard test to start the second leg on the court of the leader Real Madrid

Valencia Basket will play its first game of the second leg and will close a series of three away-games in a row visiting the always complicated Real Madrid’s court (Sunday 6, 6:30 p.m., Wizink Center, #Vamos) in a Endesa League round 21 game.

 

The taronja squad will put into play a run of four consecutive wins in the Endesa League that allowed them to become top-seeded in the Copa del Rey draw and excellent dynamics as a visitor (only one loss away from home in tha acb in the first leg) on one of the most complicated courts of the European concert.

 

Although Valencia Basket has won four times in national competition since the 2014-15 season, including the victory in the last season Regular Season game by 69-79, the balance at the Wizink Center in acb since that date is negative (4-14) and the Taronja team was defeated in the last two precedents, those of the last season semifinals.

 

Forward Víctor Claver is already recovered from the injury in his left foot that has kept him away from the courts since October and since Friday he has been partially integrated into practicing with the rest of his teammates. If both he and Josep Puerto (who has missed the last two games of the taronja team after testing positive for COVID-19) enter the 12-men list for this game despite not yet being 100% fit, coach Joan Peñarroya will have his twelve professional players for the first time this season.

 

Valencia Basket currently occupies the fourth position in the Endesa League, with a balance of 11-6.
