Hard test to the European improvement of Valencia Basket in Zalgiris Kaunas court
Valencia, January 17 2018 – Valencia Basket will try to extend its current form in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, where it has added three wins in the last four games, leaving the Fonteta and traveling to Lithuania to play at Zalgiris Kaunas (Thursday 18, 19: 00h, Zalgirio Arena, Movistar Deportes 1) in a game of the Round 19 of the highest European competition. The taronja squad visits for the first time the new court of the Lithuanian team, although its history says that it has won in its two previous visits to Kaunas in the Euroleague. To try to extend those good precedents, the taronja squad has added to the expedition Erick Green, who had missed three games for a tendonitis herelea in the right foot. Although recently returned from injury, the American shooting guard can only rejoin to help the team a few minutes. Sergi Garcia, who had a fibrillar microteach in the femoral biceps of his left leg in Monday's training, has not traveled. Likewise, the long-term injured Guillem Vives, Joan Sastre, Antoine Diot and Latavious Williams have not done so. In the first of the games of this double round, the taronja team won its game yesterday against FC Barcelona Lassa by 81-76 at the Fonteta.
Also yesterday played his game of the Round 19 of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague the Zalgiris Kaunas, which in his case was defeated in his visit to Bamberg by 93-86. Before that, the team coached by Sarunas Jasikevicius had resolved with a winning basket of Toupane their domestic league game and had turned the score to knock down Unicaja, which was the last team to visit the Zalgirio Arena in a competitive game European. In addition to being one of the best visiting teams of the tournament, Zalgiris is showing strong at home (with a balance of six wins and two losses) that allows him to face tomorrow's game located in the sixth position of the standings with an 11 -7 in their balance.
