La Caldera Taronja returns to host an undefeated Real Madrid in national competition

It will not be easy for the Valencia Basket men’s team to add their first home win of the season, hosting Real Madrid in this Endesa League round 5 game (Sunday 10, 18:30, Fonteta, #Vamos). Real Madrid has won all their national competition games so far but the taronja squad will have a sixth luxury player to try to knock down the whites. The Caldera Taronja will turn on at 80% of the capacity of the Fonteta, with the season tickets activated and a maximum of 6,400 spectators that will mean a return to relative normality for the first time since March 2020.

 

The taronja team will try to break its bad run against this rival at home in the games of the Endesa League Regular Season (they have had seven defeats and have not beaten Real Madrid at this point in the season since 2013) with a squad that will already have nine professional players with the incorporation to the rotation of a Xabi López-Arostegui who could make his debut after completing his first week of training after finally overcoming the injury to his left ankle that he suffered at the Tokyo Olympics.

 

The players of the second team will complete the 12-man list for the confirmed casualties due to injury of Sam Van Rossom, Mike Tobey and Klemen Prepelic. Valencia Basket occupies the sixth position of the Endesa League with a balance of 2-2.
