La Fonteta decides the ticket to the semifinals in the QF game 3 vs. Herbalife Gran Canaria

Valencia Basket faces the third and final quarterfinals game vs. Herbalife Gran Canaria (Friday 1, 22:00h, Fonteta, Movistar Deportes 1) with the intention of asserting the home-court advantage obtained with the fourth position in the Regular Season to qualify for its fifth semifinal in a row (which would be the sixth in seven years and the seventh in the total count) and with the support of a Fonteta that is prepared to generate the atmosphere of the great nights in our gym. After falling defeated in the second game of the series, the taronja squad wants to return to be strong at home, where he has won in his last thirteen games against the Canary team and where he won from the defense to add the first point of the series fitting only 56 points.

 

It will be the sixth time that Valencia Basket faces a final game of a series of quarterfinals with the home-court advantage, with the last two precedents vs. Baloncesto Sevilla and FC Barcelona Lassa falling on the taronja side by three points of advantage.

 

Coach Txus Vidorreta will have 13 players including the Icelandic center Tryggvi Hlinason for this game, so he will have to make a technical discard. The three injured players Tibor Pleiss, Latavious Williams and Antoine Diot remain out for this game.
