Perfect party in homage to the 1998 Cup (82-76)
Valencia Basket
closed a perfect party in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Copa del Rey in
1998 beating Gran Canaria 82-76 in a result that also served to equalize the
individual basket-average with the yellow team. The Taronja team recovered from
two runs against in the first half to get one point down at halftime thanks to
their outside accuracy in the final stretch of the first half. Valencia Basket
got up for the third time after a set against at the beginning of the third
quarter to take the lead in the final stretch and this time Jones scored 13 of
the team's last 16 points from 66-72 to ensure the victory and close an
incredible week of the taronja point guard.
